Bottle tans are best for YOU! |

| There is no doubt in my mind that tanning ages your skin and
exposes you to skin cancers. Yet, that glowing skin tan is associated with health in many minds and/or areas of the US. Here is how to tan safely using a tanning lotion or "tanner."

1. Assemble all of your materials in advance. You
should include:
2. Shower, shave, and exfoliate. Your skin must be smooth and clean to get a smooth, clean, and flawless tan from a bottle. Use a pumice stone, if necessary. Pay particular attention to rough and/or dry areas such as:
3. Put the plastic bags on your hands. Put your hair in shower cap. 4. Use moisturizer on really dry areas of your skin. 5. Apply tanner, than blend well. The back is a tricky part, so have a partner here if you can. Use less tanning lotion on dry areas and around your hair line. 6. If you apply too much tanner, don't try to rub or wipe it off. Use a tissue and pat it off instead. 7. When you are certain you are finished, remove plastic bags and do your hands. Use soap and water, if necessary, to avoid dark palms, but it probably won't be necessary. 8. Air dry, nude, for 15 to 30 minutes. 9. Don your old rag and wait another three hours before sweating, exercising, swimming, bathing, washing hands. While you are drying, don't touch anything, including your carpet. Tanner can stain. If you are using a topical skin treatment such as Retin-A or hydrocortisone, check with your doctor before using a tanning lotion.
