Outer Man: Fingernails: First and foremost, nails must be clean. If you have an occupation or hobby that gets your nails dirty on a regular basis, you have learned a scrubbing routine for cleaning. For the rest of us, nails can be cleaned as part of our morning shower, in or immediately following the shower. Keeping a nail brush handy and using it each morning will normally be all that is needed to keep nails clean. Nail should be trimmed neatly each week. That's the minimum for nails: trimmed and clean. Along with the trimmed, clean nails, you will want to get rid of ragged cuticles. If you do not know how to manicure your nails, particularly the cuticles, treat yourself to a professional manicure while watching what happens. Manicure sets are available in any drugstore. It may take some practice but a weekly manicure is essential to groomed nails. You may or may not want to buff nails for a smooth appearance. You may also choose to treat yourself to a professional manicure on a regular basis. That's certainly the easy way to groomed nails.
