Standing water and wet materials are a breeding ground for microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, and mold. They can cause disease, trigger allergic reactions, and continue to damage materials long after the flood, If you smell a musty odor, start looking for leaks. You are likely to find leaks in attics, garages, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens, or anywhere doors or windows are not protected by rain.
