Mirror, Mirror, Who's the Greenest Green starts with a plan. What is the purpose of green remodeling or green construction? Building and remodeling green is a thought process rather than a game to see how many green products one family can use to remodel their home. It has to be balanced with income, loans, budget, and general goals. Again, it starts with a plan. Purposes include: 1. Stop losing money on utility bills. 2. Save energy or use renewable energy. 3. Make your home healthier for you and your family. 4. Make your home comfortable for less money. 5. Increase durability of home. 6. Self-satisfaction for a job well done. 7. Use products that are locally or regionally produced. 8. Use recycled materials.3. Restore some of world's ecosystems--as many as possible. Some green resources might cost more initially, but will benefit you over the years in comfort, financial savings, and/or health--actually acting as a great convenience and savings in the long run.
