Comfort is not a necessity. But it certainly is, well, comfortable.

A good question for each of us to ask ourselves is, "How much am I willing to spend each year to be comfortable?"

Quickly followed by, "How much can I afford to lose each year to be comfortable?"

We might even consider ourselves on an energy budget as far as comfort is concerned. The more energy inefficient our home is, of course, the higher our budget must be for us to remain comfortable.
