Inexpensive Gifts
No one ever said gifts had to be expensive. Here are three ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
Gift of Laughter
If you are a regular reader of the comics in the newspaper or on the
internet, start a file for the people you want to laugh and be happy. Clip out those
comics that remind you
of something the gift recipient would probably consider funny or one that
indicates an interest such as golf or a place in life like a marriage or a new
baby. Keep them in the folder until gift-giving time, then paste them in an expensive scrapbook or
loose-leaf binder. Worth a chuckle each time they see your gift.
Gift of Chocolate
Chocolate can be a very inexpensive gift. Many people crave chocolate because
of emotional associations and because chocolate seems to melt in your mouth. Buy
a gift (or better yet recycle a gift bag) and fill it with luscious and
inexpensive chocolate goodies.
Frugal Gifts
Often Replace Dollars with Time
Choosing or making perfect and frugal gifts for your friends and family starts before you reach the
store or craft spot.
Think about each person's place in life and hobbies or interests. Allow a few
hours for each person's gift and you can give them a gift of your time.
