Alternative medicine terms defined. Holistic health theories defined. |
Intergrative Medicine Integrative Medicine does not have a commonly accepted definition at this time. Integrative medicine can also be considered synonymous with complementary medicine. In fact, the term has been used interchangeably with alternative and complementary medicine. However, the term integrative medicine might refer to a single medical practitioner who is trained in allopathic medicine and at least one form of alternative medicine. An example would be an MD or DO trained in Ayurvedic Medicine. The patient would receive intergrated treatment. The term would also be appropriate for a clinic in which a patient is treated by both allopathic and alternative medical practitioners. |
